The lodge was surrounded by snow as it should be in winter. Malico sat down on a chair after lighting a fire in the fireplace. With his trench coat covering him like a blinket be looked out at the snow falling, glistening only in the rays of moonlight and disapearing into the shadows under the trees and bridge. The silence is what drove Malico to come to the snow lodge, and as the light from the fire layed upon the left side of his face he seems warm and kind. While the light from the moon shown him to be cold and frozen as if made of stone. It seemed strange to him that there was no one else in the lodge to see the beautiful snow fall outside.

Karin trudged up the snowy path, her long dark hair now peppered with the soft white fluff. She hated snow. Always has, always will. As much as she liked the cold, she had her limits. The line was drawn indeffinatly at snow. When it fell in sheets like this, obcuring her vision as it did, no. The darkness was bad enough with the reflection of snow on the ground, she didn't need it in the air as well. When she finaly found the blurry form of a building, she made her way towards it, slipping in the snow about her ankles.

Malico heard the sound of snow smashing under someones or somethings feet. Perhaps someone else has come to the lodge to enjoy the view. Malico stood up from the chair, laying down his trench coat. Other than the usual clothing he wears a black turtle neck to help keep him warm. We walked to the door and opened it. Peering out into the snow and night he sees a person walking towards the lodge. He sensed her spiritual energy getting lower because of the cold and he goes to the kitchen to poor a bit of hot choco he had heating in a coffee maker. He left the door open for the traveler.

She mannaged to get close enough to depict the open door, but as she tried to hurry up some more, her shoes disided to give out on her. They refused to hold anymore traction. She sliped and fell face first in the soft white sheet below her. It was more of a pillow than a sheet, but it was cold as fuck. A string of curses came from Karins mouth as she pulled herself up and tried to keep going. The coat she wore wasn't doing much to keep the cold out, but that's what she got for wearing a windbreaker to a snow logde. "Stupid ass radio telling me that it wasn't going to snow. To hell with them, dumb fucks with their pussy ass weather prodictions. Hell, I could have done a better job."

Malico heard the string of curses from the kitchen, and he let out a soft sigh. *Someone's not having a fun time.* He thought to himself. He was surprised she found it to be so cold outside. Malico thought that there was at least a slightly warm wind, and the snow wasn't falling that hard. He thought it was perfect weather if it had to snow, he found it beautiful how the moon glowed against the ground.

A few slips and falls later, Karin managed to reach the open door, her freezing body completely covered with snow. She stepped into the cabin and closed the door as if there were a Ghoul outside. After shaking all the snow out of her long brown hair, she let herself slide down the door. "Warmth," she breathed, repeating the word as if it were a chant or a prayer.

Malico stands with a shoulder leaned against the doorway to the kitchen as he looks at her with a mug of hot choco. Another sigh escapes him. He hates how kind he is so he hides it with sarcasm. "Took you long enough to get in here look at this, I go out of my way to make some hot choco for you and you decide to wait until most of the lodges warmth is gone and you even managed to soak the wood around you with water." He walks over to her and holds the mug out to her without looking at her, his profile now showing it's cold side by the moons light.

Karin instantly grabed for the hot cocoa with numb fingers. Reasion told her to hold off on drinking it, though part of her wanted to instantly down the warm chocolity goodness. Insted, she held it close to her, the steem rising to hit her in the face. She welcomed it with a shuttering sigh. Taking a small tester sip, she instantly felt the heat kiss her toung and lips. It burned. Inset of blowing the heat away, she inhailed it, breathing in the steem to it could warm her insides insted of the outside.

Malico looked at her questioningly for only a moment until he turned and walked back to his seat at the fireplace. Once again, he covered himself with his trench coat like a blinket and he stared back off into the snow. He almost wished he was outside walking around in it or playing with his dog. Niru would play in this stuff till the end of time if he wasn't buisy laying in his bed in the corner with a big old bone in his mouth. Malico let a smile escape him, thinking about how that dog could sleep through anything.

When a good amount of steem had been inhaled, she sipped again at the cup. The result this time was hot, but not scolding chocolite sliding down her throat. Another drink, this time taking a long pull at the liquid that warmed her every limb, the heat chasing the could down every nerve and vain. A content sigh escaped her lips, as much as she didn't want it to. White puffs escaped after, the fresh heat from her breath making her look as if she were smoking.

Malico Turns his attention to the fire and remembers the time when he first found Niru in the alleyway. It was snowing just like tonight but back then there wasn't the warm wind blowing. Niru had come a long way since then, he wuse to be cowardly but powerful. Now he was just like a puppy, but Malico was sure that Niru still had that amazing power that he saw the first time they met.

When Karin had downed the cocoa, she pulled herself up off the floor, her clothing soking wet. Slopping to what she figured to be the kitchen, she put the cup in the sink. She then prosseded to wring her hair out, water dripping from it like a fosite. Chunks of snow clinged to her cloting as she tried to shake the wetness off. Her eyes cought the dog liying in a corrner of the room and an idea sparked. She continued to shake herself off, but like a dog or a cat would. Water from her hair flew all about the kitchen, splattering the walls, floor, and celing with melted snow.

"As if you didn't get the lodge wet enough already, what in frozen over hell do you think you're doing?" Malico said turning around in his chair. "If you're want to shake off in the house like I dog I should be able to put you back out in the cold damnit!" Sure this wasn't his place, but being from the bloodline he is from he finds it to be very disrespectful to him and the lodge. Niru stood up from his bed and walked to Malico's side. Malico rubbed Niru's ear as he listened to the dogs light whimper and panting. "Even a dog knows better then to walk into a house and shake off the cold or track mud. You're even worse then a lycan."

Smirking at the now equaly damp room, Karin walked out of the kitchen, running her fingers throught her knotted wet hair. "Well, a wet dog is only alowed to go where its already wet. So I figured that if I get the whole place damp, I can go all over. And as a bonus, I didn't drag mud in with me." Not that my feet could reach the actual ground with all that snow, she thought with annoyance. "And in case you haven't noticed, I'm not a dog, thus the same rules do not apply to me." She was just getting started. On a normal bases, when she was actualy speaking, she was as sarcastic as a the weather was unpredictible. Cold, playfull, there was always at least a hint of sarcasum.

"If you're not a dog then don't act like one, If you're going to be like this I'll just lock you back out in the cold." He was getting really pissed off with her attitude towards him. He snickered as his fangs flashed in the fire's light. Niru could tell that Malico was getting pissed and whimpered a little more. He was only a moment away from breaking. He had plenty of weapons on him to choose from and wasn't about to hold back if she tried saying something sarcastic.
