Panting hard, Karin watched as her corps pulled itself out of the ground, his dark brown hair caked with dirt and mud from his time in his six foot hole. She wasn't hired to raise him in particular. He was a victim of a ghoul attack and she needed to know what this ghoul looked like. For weeks now, the increase in ghoul attacks were growing. Some one was behind this. Despite the circumstances, she did find these attacks useful. It brought her steps closer to finding her rouge mother and bringing her to rest finally. Throughout her career, that was her one shadowing goal. To find and bring her mother to rest. Then she would find the one who killed her and take his head off with the bloodied blade that now lay next to her.

Matt watched from the shadows as the Animator ressurected a man, he sighed softly as he realized that the creature was not fully returned only half, creating a sort of Ghoul, It won't last he thought to himself as he looked on. Moving silently he walked down the path towards the girl, The ghoul raised its head to look above her towards him.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood up, always a bad sign. Not bothering to turn around, she asked with a soft voice, "What do you want?" The body she raised was still reforming itself, slowly gathering its memories. Karin let her eyes drop to the ground as she, herself, gathered up her energy. She was going to need it. This is not what I need right now, she thought as her eyes wandered to the knife. The smooth and delicate design of leaves on the hilt winding and wrapping their way up to the blade. It was made special for her, her teacher giving it to her as a gift when she started.
Now that blade may be used for more than just summonings and raising the dead. This wouldn't be the first time she had to fight with it, and it wouldn't be the last. She just really hated relying on it in a fight. The blood on the stainless steel glittered in the moon light. The corpse she raised took a sudden intake of breath, pulling her eyes immediately up to the dead mans face.
"What, what is it?" She knew the dead would usually react with fear and confusion when pulled back. He was dead for three days and now he was seeing life with the knowledge that he was not alive. But this intake of breadth was different, as if he was reliving a nightmare. She followed his gaze to the man behind her, trying to connect the dots.

Matt smiled soflty at the question, "It is not what I want, but what you want." he said to her, "What I want is the average thing any human wants, wether or not they want to admit it." He said to her as he stopped roughly ten feet away from her. "I want power, and the freind you so casually just created already knows the extent of power I want." He said to her smiling wickedly, the shadows on his face making it look gaunt, almost Skeletal itself. He moved slowly around her and looked at the Ghoul, "Hmmmm.... You could have at least ressurected it fully if you were going to do it at all. He won't last much more than a few hours." he said to her as he studied it quickly.

"He's fully resurrected," she said, a hint of her own pride rearing its head in her voice. "He has his memories back. I only need those memories for a few hours." Her dark eyes glowed with anger now. She kept her head turned to the mystery man before she returned to her zombie. With all the anger and pride drained from her, she carefully spoke to the corpus.
"Tell me, how did you die?" Her voice was soft. That sweet innocence she tried to smother out of herself when her mother died rose as she spoke. The naive childish tone she dashed aside when her mother was no longer around to protect her. No longer around to tell her it's alright.
The dead man lifted one dirt caked hand, finger extended towards the man behind her. She didn't need to follow the finger. She knew what that ment. He's fully here, he wouldn't be moving so fluidly if he wasn't... But then again, why hasn't he said anything yet... She was bying into what the man was saying, not a good idea. "Tell me, what happened?"

Matt smiled as the creature pointed at him, "As I said not fully ressurected." he said to her, "You came close, you gave it back its memorys, and its motor control, but not control over its speech capabillitys" he said to her smiling. "Besides, I doubt you are going to need to look any further to find who killed it." he said to her as he opened the leather bound book that he kept at his side. "But I do beleive I should be taking over now" he said as he began skimming the pages for a spell.

Her blood was boiling now, the heat of rage shooting up her spine. She took the moment to grab her knife, her knuckles turnning white in their grip. Just as she thought she was getting closer to finding her rouge mother, she was slaped in the face with this. This week was not a good one for her. When she heard the rustuling of dry pages, she turned to find him looking up something in a book. Shit!

Matt smiled softly as he found the binding spell, "I guess I will have to finish what you started, if this ghoul is left unbound, he will dissolve back to a corpse. And when that happens I doubt you want the memory's of the Ghouls kills to haunt you" Matt said to her almost Sadistically.

Thinking quick, Karin jumped off the ground and ran towards him, reaching with her blade to cut the page. Even if she missed, she would try to stall him long enough for the corps to decay on its own. But that would take too long. So her best bet was to knock him out and put the corps back on her own.

Matt watched the blade slice through the page, "Damn It!" he exclaimed as he leaped backward. "What the hell was that for, I just wanted to make sure he couldn't harm anyone unless he was commanded to." he said to her angrily. "Now I am going to have to do it the hard way." he said, a small throwing knife appeared in his hand, seemingly as if magic had summoned it there, he arced his hand up and Prepare to throw the dagger toward the Girl. "I would recommend you move" he said softly.

"No," she said as she staid where she knelt. "It's my zombie, I'll take care of it." Though she was panting, still not over her fitigue, her eyes held that dark fire. Determined to take care of herself, she refused to let anyone else do her job. "You killed him, I won't let you hurt him further."

"It doesn't hurt when you bind them, It only allows them to rest their souls, and once that happens the body becomes a ghoul indefinitly." Matt said to her still holding the dagger, "Besides if you don't rest soon, he will not become a ghoul, nor will he fully die again." he said to her smiling, "If you want to release him, release him, if not I am going ot bind him."

"You are not going to bind him, because I'm going to put him back." Her anger was clearly evident in both her voice and stature. She slowly pulled herself up and grabed the third chicken she kept in the crate by the circle of blood she had laid out. Severing the head, she prosseded to chant the reversal spell. Pooring the blood on the body of the corpes, she continued her chanting, the only thing giving her energy being her determination to prove this man wrong.

Matt smiled as he watched her work, Determination...could prove usefull He thought to himself as the Undead man slowly began going back into a corpse like state, the life drained out of the Ghoul. Matt clapped slowly as she finished smiling mischeviously.

When the corpes returned to the ground from where it came, she let her chant fall silant. Gulping deep breaths of air, she felt herself drained. Compleatly drained. She knelt there, her knees digging into the earth, sweat beeding on her face. One corpes a night. That was her limit. She had to curse herself for being so weak. Yes, it was average for an Animator to bring back only one corpes a night, but that left her limited. Thus why she oftan took other jobs like bounty hunting.
